About the Annual Symposium
The Symposium is organised by the SEF Social Entrepreneurship Association Uganda in partnership with Capital Solutions Limited. Since October 2021, our symposiums have supported over 500 social businesses across Education, Health, Agriculture, Tourism & Hospitality, Renewable Energy, Fashion & Design and more.
The 6th edition is a hybrid event expected to host over 500 participants — connecting social entrepreneurs, investors, philanthropists, NGOs, Government, development partners, students, researchers and change makers. The day closes with a networking cocktail for building strategic partnerships and exploring collaborations.
Capital Solutions Ltd
An indigenous social enterprise incorporated in Uganda in 2008 and operating since 2014 — inspiring, transforming and building the capacity of social entrepreneurs working with low‑income communities in Africa.
- Social Entrepreneurship Forum — a membership platform connecting African social entrepreneurs for networking and partnership building
- Social Investment Fund — patient capital of $500–$5,000 for women‑led and youth‑led social enterprises
- Social Business Accelerator — a six‑month capacity‑building programme for startups scaling to enterprise level
- Advisory Services — business development support for SMEs, NGOs and private companies through training and strategic planning

SEF Association Uganda
An indigenous membership association of 250+ social entrepreneurs across Uganda and Africa — a collaborative space for networking, business referrals, policy advocacy and business growth. Established by Capital Solutions in July 2020.
Members operate across Agriculture, Tourism & Hospitality, Energy, Transport & Logistics, Information Technology, Education, Financial Services, Health, Fashion & Design and Climate Change, among others.
